Position Qualifications:

Family Ministry (50%)

  • Develop and implement a birth-12th grade discipleship strategy.
  • Encourage and equip the parents of children and students to lead spiritually in their homes.
  • Recruit, support, train, and empower leaders and volunteers in childrens and student ministries.
  • Plan and lead family ministry events (children’s and youth camp, VBS, etc).
  • Serve as the visible primary leader in either childrens or student ministry week-to-week.

Worship Ministry (30%)

  • Work with the pastor to plan corporate worship services.
  • Recruit support, train, and empower lay leaders in the worship ministry.
  • Lead and oversee AVL ministry.
  • Lead weekly rehearsals.

General Ministry Functions (20%)

  • Counsel and meet with families and others in the church.
  • Teach occasional Bible studies and in other venues.
  • Occasional preaching opportunities (if qualified and capable).
