Chinese Pastor – Full Time: Charlotte Chinese Baptist Church

Job Description:

Charlotte Chinese Baptist Church (CCBC) in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time pastor to shepherd our Chinese-speaking congregation. CCBC is a bilingual, multi-generational church with about 100 members, approximately half of whom attend the Chinese worship service.

The Chinese Pastor will serve alongside the English Pastor and Board of Deacons to:

  • Preach weekly in Mandarin during Sunday worship

  • Administer Communion and Baptism

  • Teach adult Sunday School and support small groups

  • Disciple and care for members through visitations, counseling, and prayer

  • Equip ministry leaders and co-labor with church staff and volunteers

  • Lead evangelism and missions initiatives within the church and local community

  • Represent CCBC in inter-church and pastoral fellowship gatherings

Position Qualifications:

  • A clear calling from God and a life committed to biblical teaching (1 Tim. 3:1–7; Titus 1:6–9)

  • Born again for at least 7 years; married with a believing spouse (preferred)

  • Fluent in Mandarin for preaching; proficient in English communication

  • Graduate of an evangelical seminary; M.Div. or equivalent preferred

  • At least 3 years of pastoral or ministry experience, preferably in a North American Chinese church

  • Doctrinal alignment with CCBC’s statement of faith and constitution (link)

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident preferred

  • A shepherd’s heart, leadership gifting, and team spirit
