Children Director
Job Description:
- Provide oversight and discernment for the vision and mission of the children’s ministry at LSCC.
- Be an active member of the church.
- Demonstrate a heart for evangelism and missions.
- Supervise, nurture, develop, and train volunteer teachers.
- Design and implement programs that foster spiritual growth in children.
- Equip parents to disciple their children and strengthen inter-family relationships.
- Maintain a mission-focused approach in all activities and programs.
- Oversee, support, or collaborate with pastors in serving young family cell groups.
- Be flexible and willing to teach or substitute when volunteers are unavailable.
- Recruit, prepare, and train others to serve in children ministry.
- Prepare and manage the ministry schedule.
- Teach at least three to four times per month.
- Have a personal testimony of salvation and baptism.
- Exhibit a passion for children ministry.
- Commit to prayer and collaborate with the Youth Director to ensure a smooth transition for children moving into youth ministry.
- Possess strong biblical knowledge.
- Part-time – 40 hours per month

- Demonstrates a close, personal relationship with God, reflected in daily spiritual practices and a strong commitment to prayer and worship (James 4:8; Psalm 73:28).
Spirit-Filled Leadership
- Exemplifies the fruit of the Holy Spirit in character and leadership, including love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).
Faithful Stewardship
- Understands that time, talents, and resources are entrusted by God and uses them effectively for His glory. Shows an ability to manage resources and guide others in stewardship principles (Ephesians 3:2; Colossians 1:25).
Purpose-Driven Mission
- Embraces a clear sense of calling as a missionary and minister of God. Displays a passion for discovering, developing, and using their God-given gifts to fulfill their unique role in ministry (Ephesians 2:10).
Ability to Communicate God’s Grace Story
- Has a personal testimony of God’s grace and is equipped to teach and model how to share this story. Actively helps others understand and live out their grace story in daily life, including at home, work, and in the community (Acts 1:8).
