Associate Pastor of Youth and Families
Job Description:
Candidate is expected to coordinate and administrate all aspects of youth ministry including teaching of Sunday School and providing lessons for youth group on Sunday night. Youth gather weekly on Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening. This position requires active involvement in all aspects of the youth ministries. Candidate will also be involved in oversight of children’s Sunday school and VBS. Candidate will also be highly involved in coordination and implementation of annual youth camps and yearly youth missions trips, regionally and internationally.
Candidate will work closely with Sr. pastor, elders, deacons and teachers and youth leaders to coordinate and implement sound Biblical teaching and training in ways that enhance existing ministries of the church.

Position Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the scriptural qualifications for pastors and elders as listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Candidates must have at minimum a bachelor’s degree that includes formal Bible training. Seminary training is preferred. Candidate must be able to clearly communicate biblical truth to various ages and will be expected to develop and maintain healthy relationships with members of our congregation and the community.

The Church of the Living Christ is an active church of 400 people located in south central Pennsylvania, about an hour north west of Harrisburg. We are a non-Pentecostal, non-charismatic independent Bible church. We emphasize a reformed soteriology in both our teaching and application of the Bible. The church was established 40 years ago by a small group of believers. Over the last decades we have tripled the size of the church building in which we meet and have updated and improved the capabilities of all ministry facilities. The congregation is balanced across ages, consisting of young families with children and teens as well as older adults and seniors. A dynamic youth program exists and is designed to teach and reinforce Biblical truth as well as apply that truth to all of life.
