Associate / Assistant Pastor: Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church (General Synod)
Job Description:
GRPC is seeking an Associate Pastor / Assistant Pastor (depending on experience and qualifications) who has a heart for shepherding the flock to join our ministry team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving the local church, have an energetic and outgoing personality and have a gift for connecting with people of all ages. This individual should love God, love people, and be gifted and called to church ministry to meet the spiritual needs of the congregation.
This position focuses on preaching at the second service on Sundays, administering of the sacraments when needed, teaching Wednesday nights, providing pastoral care, and encouraging spiritual growth and maturity among church members through personal mentoring and discipleship. With the Senior Pastor he is responsible for equipping the saints for ministry. The Associate Pastor will spearhead evangelism and outreach efforts to extend the gospel into our community.
Position Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Master of Divinity is required.
- Ordained in a consistently Reformed/Presbyterian and conservative denomination and able/willing to be ordained in the Bible Presbyterian Church
- Is committed to:
- the full inerrancy, authority, and sufficiency of Scripture in all areas (including Biblical/nouthetic counseling)
- full subscription to the Westminster Standards (not good faith subscription)
- an ordinary means of grace ministry
- expository (lectio continua) preaching
- Biblical, historic gender roles in the home, church, and society
- Presbytery and Synod attendance and service
- personal holiness
- faithful, consistent, joyful Sabbath observance (with morning and evening worship)
- Biblical family management, personal and family worship
- a collegial, team-oriented pastoral ministry
- being self-disciplined and self-motivated
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
