With COVID-19 continuing to spread, we will once again be holding our Ping-Pong and Pool tournaments over the course of the semester. But this time we will be holding a double-elimination tournament! If you lose one round, you will move to the losers’ bracket, where you will be able to continue to play until losing a second time. The winner of the losers’ bracket will have a chance to steal the title of Champion from the winner of the winners’ bracket by winning two consecutive games.
Our tournament is open to all students, faculty, staff, and their families, so if you want to participate please register here no later than Monday, February 8. Once everyone has signed up, we’ll create and release the brackets so that the tournament can begin! As with the Fall 2020 tournaments, competitors will be responsible for contacting their opponents each round to schedule their own games. The current plan is to allow 2 weeks for each round, which will allow us to have some flexibility around Spring Break and midterms and still end the tournament in April.
