The Grimké Lecture Series is back this semester, with an emphasis on speakers who are involved in local work and thinking from our own backyard. Named for Francis J. Grimké and hosted by the Center for the Study of the Bible and Ethnicity, our lecture series provides a place for mutual encouragement for pastors, community leaders and laypersons alike that connects local and global concerns in a prayerful, Kingdom-centered setting.

With this vision in mind, the Grimké Lecture Series will continue to highlight the work of passionate, local and global ministry leaders among us.

RTS Atlanta will be hosting Dr. Bruce Lowe,  Associate Professor of New Testament at RTS Atlanta. Dr. Lowe will be speaking on the topic, Diversity in Jesus’s Body: Paul’s Extraordinary Outlook on the New Covenant.  In his 45-minute talk, he will share about 2 Corinthians 3 and the remarkable description of the New Covenant. As he draws our attention to  Paul’s life and of actually carrying around the Gentiles on his heart, he will expound on the question “If, from the start, it was diversity that God used to make peoples grasp the gospel, should we imagine that the rest of the New Covenant era will be different?”

This talk will occur Tuesday, February 4th, from 11:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. at the RTS Atlanta campus.

Please RSVP by 5:00 P.M. Monday, February 3rd. Coffee and snacks will be provided.

Feel free to share this invite; all are welcome! If you have questions or would like further information, contact Tanisha Webster at twebster@rts.edu or call 770-952-8884.
