The Center for the Study of the Bible and Ethnicity (CSBE) emphasizes the connection between the local and the global, with a focus on how God has moved, is moving, and has promised to move through His people in history and in the contemporary world. The CSBE Grimké Lecture Series aims to expose the students of RTS Atlanta and the wider community to new perspectives on God’s work around the world. With this vision in mind, the Grimké Lecture Series will continue this fall semester to highlight the work of passionate, local and global ministry leaders among us.

RTS Atlanta will be hosting William M. Wood, Assistant Professor of Old Testament here at RTS Atlanta. Professor Wood will be speaking on the topic, “Those Who Humble Themselves will be Exalted: Zephaniah Calls the Nations to Worship.” In his 45-minute talk, he will share his knowledge on the interplay between the nations and the people of God in the Old Testament, and what lessons Christians can glean from them today. This talk will occur Thursday, September 26, from 11:00 A.M.-12:30 P.M. Please RSVP by Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
