Job Description:

Do you love theology, editing, and new technology? Ligonier Ministries is seeking a mission-driven and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to join our editorial team full-time. In this role, you’ll help bring theological content to life across a variety of formats—books, articles, study guides, and more—with a special emphasis on using AI tools to streamline editorial workflows and expand reach.

This position is ideal for someone who is both theologically grounded and curious about the intersection of publishing and emerging technology. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team of editors and ministry leaders, helping refine resources that equip Christians around the world in their understanding of God’s Word.

  • Edit and proofread a variety of theological content, including print and digital formats.
  • Help refine AI-assisted workflows while safeguarding editorial and theological integrity.
  • Contribute to special projects, style guide maintenance, and collaborative editorial planning.
  • Support administrative processes for books, website content, and content development initiatives.

Position Qualifications:

  • Experience in journalism, publishing, or editorial work.
  • A master’s degree from a Reformed seminary.
  • Clear alignment with Ligonier’s theological convictions, including affirmation of the Westminster Standards or Three Forms of Unity.
  • Strong written communication skills and editorial discernment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.

This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Sanford, FL. At this time, we are only able to hire individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 – $31.00 per hour. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
