English Ministry Pastor: Siloam Church

Job Description:

The English Ministry (EM) Pastor will be in charge of pastoring the English-speaking congregation which ranges from high school students to working adults. We are looking for someone who can work Full-Time but willing to talk with Part-time candidates as well. Some of the regular responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Sunday Service 7:30AM-2:30PM.
  2. Wednesday Night Service 7:30PM-9:30PM.
  3. Early Morning Prayer & Office Hours (determined together)
  4. Tuesday Staff Meetings

Other things we value are:

  1. Reformed Worship (Regulative Principle of Worship in our cultural context)
  2. Reformed Theology (High view of the sovereignty of God & Scripture)
  3. Pastoral Heart (The sympathy of giving biblical counseling yet the courage, if necessary, to provide church discipline)
  4. Teamwork (Working with Staff, Session, Parents)

Position Qualifications:

The position qualifications:

  1. Must have a Master of Divinity (preferably from a reformed seminary).
  2. Must be able to subscribe to the PCA standards (Westminster Confession of Faith, Westminster Larger & Shorter Catechisms, Book of Church Order).
  3. Must either be in or willing to transfer to a Reformed Presbyterian Denomination.
  4. Must be at least licensed or preferably ordained.
  5. Preferably at least 3 years of ministry experience (not necessarily as a pastor).
  6. Strongly Preferred: bilingual (Korean and English because of our context).
