Job Description:
Overview: Being a small church, and knowing that most future ministers will step into smaller settings, we feel the call to help train students in small church ministry. The Pastoral Internship is a part-time (15-20hrs/wk) role that can span from one to three years. Interns gain an inside look into church ministry, having the opportunity to be discipled by the pastor and officers of the church while being given a variety of responsibilities to gain experience and prepare for a life of ministry.
We are searching for a college or seminary student with a heart for pastoral ministry seeking to expand their gifts and graces for ministry in a local church setting. This internship is ideally suited for a seminary student whose aim is pastoral ministry to both focus on studies and implement their education in a practical setting. There will be regular opportunities for teaching, preaching, and worship leadership during the internship.
Potential ministry opportunities include:
- Music Ministry
- Children’s/Youth Ministry
- Preaching
- Evangelism & Social Outreach
- Small group ministry
- Attend session and diaconate meetings
- Leading Prayer Meeting
- Manage church social media accounts and church-wide communication
- Coordinate church-wide events
- Other responsibilities as giftings are realized

Requirements
- To confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- A heart for the lost and a passion for local church ministry
- A commitment to the Gospel and the authority of the Word of God
- Active learner and self-starter
- Current seminary or college student or recent graduate
