Job Title:

Associate Pastor of Youth and Families: Foothills Community Church

Job Description:

  1. Reports to the Senior Pastor
  2. Teach the word of God and disciple those in the student ministry.
  3. Develop, plan, direct, and evaluate a comprehensive student ministry for students from 6th through 12th grades and their families, with a focus on outreach, evangelism, and discipleship. Create ministry opportunities and ways to promote the FCC Student Group to our community.  Strive to develop relationships within our community, such as with the schools, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
  4. Attend and participate in periodic meetings of the church staff; communicate effectively with all members of the staff.
  5. As available, support the Senior Pastor in visiting hospitals, nursing homes, etc.,
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
  7. Provide staff oversight of FCC’s Technology Team
  8. Assist as needed with weekly editing and upload of sermons
  9. Be present at FCC special events

Expectations:

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to scriptural principles and teachings both professionally and personally (Matthew 28:19, Acts 6:4, Acts 20:28, Ephesians 4:11-13, 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 2 Timothy 2:2, 2 Timothy 4:1-5).
  • Affirm and teach in accordance with the Abstract of Principles
  • Be doctrinal sound in theology.
  •  Demonstrate a personal commitment to scriptural principles and teachings both professionally and personally
  • Be available and prepared to assume responsibilities usually performed by the Senior Pastor that include preaching and leading Sunday Worship Service, leading other events such as bible/book studies, conferences, and classes.

Position Qualifications:

  • Be seminary degree or pursuing a seminary degree.
