1 Timothy 3.
- Have a dynamic and growing relationship with Christ and a commitment to personal spiritual disciplines
- Hold a bachelor’s degree, with continuing education in Bible
- Understand and be committed to the mission, and doctrinal statement of Immanuel Baptist Church
- Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
- Have organizational and team working skills
- Possess successful local church ministry experience

THE BIG PICTURE
Immanuel Baptist Church (https://ibccares.org) is an independent Baptist church on the west side of Columbus, Ohio, seeking a new Pastor. We are a member of the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches (OARBC). We are searching for God’s man to lead our congregation of 40-45 members.
PRIMARY MISSION
The lead pastor will serve as a shepherd of the church and will provide spiritual oversight of the members for the purpose of making disciples and equipping them to follow Jesus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The pastor:
- will provide a pulpit and teaching ministry that incorporates the exposition of Scriptures in all doctrine, exhorting the congregation to act upon Scriptural teaching in their daily lives.
- will give direction and accountability for the day to day operation of the church, giving vision to the various ministries
- develop a ministry of outreach into the community.
- will share the responsibility of disciple making process with others
- will provide leadership and accountability to/with an elected board of deacons
- give vision to the church and provide leadership in accomplishing the mission
- will be responsible for administering the ordinance of baptism and communion at the scheduled services.
- will be available for personal counseling of the members of the church, and regularly visit those members unable to come to church.
- must be a team builder as well as a team player, exhibiting a heart of service and compassion.
