Job Description:

• 2 month paid internship program at a growing church in a beach community near Charleston, SC
• Live with host home provided by Holy Cross
• Elements of internship include assisting with children’s and youth summer programming, assisting in various aspects of worship in a liturgical context, theological development with our theologian-in-residence, and broad experience in various aspects of parish ministry

Position Qualifications:

• Current or prospective seminary student looking for parish experience!
• Vibrant and growing relationship with the Lord; demonstrates spiritual health and maturity, Christ-like character and leadership (including in marriage and family, if relevant) (Matthew 5-7; John 15; Romans 8; Galatians 5:13-26; Leviticus 20:7; 1 Timothy 5:24-25)
• Demonstrates an ability to disciple others in the way of Jesus (Matthew 4:19; 28:16-20; 1 Corinthians 11:1, 1 Thessalonians 2:8, 2 Timothy 2:2)
• Possesses a heart for people to know and follow Jesus! (Matthew 18:12-14, John 3:16-18, Acts 1:8)
• Able to support whole-heartedly the vision, values, and beliefs of Holy Cross
• Takes initiative and is self-motivated; excited to help build something here!
• Ability to work well in a team environment (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
