Description of Organization
Intro to City Church
We are a community of 250 members with roughly 280 regular attendees. We currently have 15 students in the middle to high school age range. However, this number will naturally double in the next two years from children aging up, not including additional growth. City Church worships on Sunday mornings at Foster Seventh Day Adventist Church. Outside of our Sunday morning services, most members participate in our small group ministry called City Groups, where people gather regionally to fellowship and care for one another. Developing structures for our students' growth and spiritual formation is a priority of City Church’s leadership in the coming year.
Our Vision
We desire to foster a community that makes known the love and grace of God in Jesus Christ by proclaiming, celebrating, and demonstrating his truth, beauty, and goodness.
Our Mission
City Church seeks to impact Asheville and the world by raising up people who’ve been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ, and who seek to bring his renewing power into every sphere of life.
Our Aim
To be a church where people can:
Explore the claims of Jesus Christ.
Engage the life-giving authority of Scripture.
Expand their faith and trust in him through thoughtful and expectant worship.
Experience transformation within the safety of meaningful relationships in a gospel-filled, grace-oriented community.
Employ their resources for the glory of God and the welfare of the city.
Extend the hope of Jesus Christ to Asheville and beyond.
