Christopher Watkin (PhD, University of Cambridge) is senior lecturer in French studies at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He is a scholar of modern European thought and the relationship between theology and philosophy. His books include Biblical Critical Theory: How the Bible’s Unfolding Story Makes Sense of Modern Life and Culture, Difficult Atheism, From Plato to Postmodernism, and volumes on Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault, and Gilles Deleuze in the Great Thinkers series (P&R). In 2023, Reformed Theological Seminary named Dr. Watkin Fellow of Philosophy and Culture.
