About Rev. DeHart
Rev. Donn DeHart has a bachelor’s and three master’s degrees in education. Two of those master’s degrees were earned at RTS Jackson, where he studied under Dr. Norman Harper in the RTS School of Education. Donn was a classroom teacher for nine years, mostly in Christian schools. He also served as the Educational Coordinator in the State of Florida for the Selmer Music Company, where he was in charge of hiring, training and supervising teachers. As a professional musician, he played for 12 years in symphony orchestras and jazz groups, as well as played in and conducted numerous groups in churches.
For 17 years, Donn served as a pastor/teacher/trainer and worship leader in four different churches, and as an organizing pastor in two of those churches. In April 1998, Donn was asked to “help out for two weeks, to get things organized” for RTS’ Distance Education program, later the Virtual Campus. He has served since then as the Director of Course Development, where he developed much of the process still in use today. He now serves as Faculty Liaison and Business Manager for RTS Global. Donn is married to his wife of 42 years, Donni. They have three children — two daughters and an Autistic son — plus four beautiful and very active granddaughters.
