(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) – Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte is pleased to announce its fall chapel schedule. From August to November, RTS professors will preach each Tuesday morning from 10:00-10:30 am.

President Michael Kruger commented on the purpose of chapel: “One of the fundamental tenets of Reformed theology is the centrality of preaching. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones said, ‘The primary task of the Church and of the Christian minister is the preaching of the Word of God’ (Preachers and Preaching, 19). For this reason, we believe weekly chapel is an integral part of seminary training. It is an opportunity to hear the Word preached in the context of preparing for the ministry.”

During Tuesday morning chapel, RTS Charlotte closes the library and coffee shop, so that the entire RTS community and friends can gather for corporate worship. After chapel, there is a break time for coffee and fellowship before students return to class.

On August 31, Dr. Will Ross will speak at RTS Charlotte’s fall Convocation, which will take place from 11 am – 12 pm. Convocation launches the 2021-2022 academic year and fall 2021 chapel schedule. A listing of the fall chapel schedule can be found here. For more information, please contact Dr. Don Fortson.
