Reformed Theological Seminary is pleased to announce that its own Chancellor and CEO, Dr. J. Ligon Duncan III, will deliver the 2020 John Reed Miller Preaching Lectures at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. Dr. Duncan will be speaking on the topic, “The Pastoral Ministry of Public Worship: Leading the Congregation in Reading, Hearing, Praying, Singing, and Seeing the Word.”
Dr. Charlie Wingard, Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology and Dean of Students, commented that, “Ligon Duncan is among the most respected Reformed preachers in the world. During his long pulpit ministry at First Presbyterian Church Jackson and service as Chancellor of Reformed Theological Seminary, his sermons have been distinguished by solid exegesis, winsomeness, and pastoral sensitivity. Both students and veteran pastors will profit as they sit under his ministry of the word.”
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 lectures will be available via live streaming and will also be recorded and posted online for those who are unable to participate in the live lectures. Unfortunately, conference attendees will be unable to attend the lectures in person. While the conference lunches have also been cancelled, there will still be two Q&A opportunities to give attendees an opportunity to ask questions of Dr. Duncan. More information regarding the live streaming and recordings will be announced at a later date.
