About Dr. Richard

Dr. Guy M. Richard is President and Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta. Prior to his arrival in Atlanta, Dr. Richard served as the Senior Minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Gulfport, Mississippi (PCA) for almost 12 years. He had the privilege of leading this congregation in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which completely destroyed the church facility and the homes of approximately one-third of the congregation. He has been teaching for RTS in some capacity since 2010.

His research has thus far focused on the theology of the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Reformation and post-Reformation periods. He has published four books and many articles on these topics. He also blogs regularly at his website, www.guymrichard.com.

In his free time, Dr. Richard enjoys swimming and cycling and most other sports. He and his wife Jennifer have three children.
