April 27, 2017 – Chancellor Ligon Duncan and the Reformed Theological Seminary Board of Trustees are pleased to announce that Mr. Matthew Bryant has accepted the call to serve as the Senior Vice President for Development at RTS. “I am so thankful to have Matthew as a part of our team here at RTS. Matthew is a godly husband and father. His understanding and experience in cultivating Christian generosity for the work of God’s kingdom, and his love of the mission and commitments of RTS, will all be tremendous assets to us. He has a passion to share that vision with our partners who support this vital work. At a personal level, we are friends, and that means a lot to me because our senior leadership at RTS works as a family,” Duncan said.
Matthew Bryant has dedicated his career to serving in higher education. After graduating from Covenant College he stayed on and served in both the Admissions and Development departments in various leadership roles over a 14 year span. Most recently he has served as Vice President of Advancement for Chattanooga Christian School where he oversaw Development, Marketing/Communications and certain Admissions functions. In 2009, he completed his Master of Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Institutional Advancement from Vanderbilt University.
In addition to working with Chancellor Duncan, Matthew will provide leadership to RTS in the area of Development and support for all of our campuses. “I am grateful to the Board, Chancellor Duncan, and the RTS leadership team for the opportunity to serve with you in this work. I have long admired RTS and consider it an incredible honor to join this important mission. RTS stands as a leader in not only equipping the next generation of church leadership, but in preparing and inspiring biblically faithful men and women to be thought leaders around the world. It is a privilege to join and follow the fine legacy that is RTS,” Bryant said.
Matthew is married to Jocelyn and they have four children: Mitchell, Davis, Bobby and Lindy Mae. He is an active member of Rock Creek Fellowship (PCA) in Lookout Mountain, GA.
