Reformed Theological Seminary announces the appointment of Tim McKeown as executive director of their Houston campus located at Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church. RTS was founded in 1966 and is now one of the largest seminaries in the United States. RTS/Houston began offering classes in August of 2010. Other campuses are located in Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington D.C., Orlando, Jackson, Memphis and a Virtual campus that offers an online Master of Arts degree.
Tim McKeown currently coordinates the Hispanic Ministries of Mission to North America of the Presbyterian Church in America and has been with MNA in various positions since 1980. Having received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Carolina and an M.Div. from RTS, he served as a church planter and associate pastor in Florida and as a church planter in Mississippi, Ecuador and Columbia. He served in the military and received his pilot training at Reese AFB in Lubbock, Texas. McKeown and his wife Rebecca have four grown children.
Established as an independent institution with a self perpetuating board of directors, Reformed Theological Seminary is committed to training pastors and leaders to help build strong local churches across denominational lines. RTS is strongly committed to the authority and truthfulness of the Bible and to an orthodox understanding of theology.
