Murphey Named as New Director of Human Resources

JACKSON, Ms. – Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Murphey as its new Director of Human Resources. In her role, Murphey will oversee the employee experience from hiring to retirement, ensuring that RTS continues to provide excellent service to its employees while complying with all federal and state regulations.

Murphey brings extensive experience in human resources as well as the legal field. Prior to joining RTS, she served as the Director of Human Resources at a behavioral healthcare organization, where she demonstrated a strong track record of leadership and strategic human resources management. Murphey joined RTS as the Payroll & Benefits Administrator in May 2023 and has since made significant contributions to the institution.

This style, coupled with her commitment to the fruits of the Spirit, guides her interactions and decision-making, further reinforcing RTS’s reputation as an employer of choice.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Murphey is a member of First Ridgeland Baptist Church, an avid gardener, and you can often find her with her husband, son, and dogs enjoying spending time outdoors.
