In fall 2019, the Jackson, Orlando, Dallas, and Washington campuses are hosting Preview Days for prospective students. These events provide an opportunity for prospective students to get a feel for individual campuses and programs.
Preview Days allow prospective students to sit in on classes and meet faculty, staff, and current students. Attendees will be able to ask questions and learn more about specific degree programs, the admissions process, and financial aid. “This helps students to get a sense of what it means to be a student at RTS,” said Caleb Burnison, Director of Admissions and Recruitment for RTS Orlando.
Step Morgan, Director of Admissions at RTS Jackson, agreed: “It’s impossible to really know what a campus is like unless you experience it firsthand. Preview Days are an opportunity for you to do just that.” In addition to becoming familiar with specific campuses, prospective students will also get a feel for the cities and communities that surround each campus.
Visiting a campus is an important part of making a decision about seminary. “As you consider how graduate theological education may prepare you to serve the Lord wherever he has called you, I can’t think of a better way to help you make that decision,” shared Timoteo Sazo, Director of Admissions and Recruitment for RTS Washington.
RTS Jackson is hosting three Preview Days this fall. The first one will be on October 3-4, for those currently serving in campus ministries. The second one will be on October 4, for prospective students considering the Master of Arts in Counseling program. On October 29, RTS Jackson will host a Preview Day for prospective Master of Divinity students.
RTS Orlando will host prospective students on October 9. Students will be able to attend a weekly chapel service and have lunch on campus.
RTS Dallas is hosting a Preview Day lunch on October 14, including a tour of campus and an opportunity to sit in on a class with Dr. Mark McDowell, Executive Director of RTS Dallas.
RTS Washington’s Fall Preview Day will be on November 5. Attendees will be able to view the new campus, in addition to meeting with faculty and current students.
For those interested in visiting one of RTS’s campuses, but are not able to make a Preview Day, please consider scheduling an individual campus visit. Campus visits are also available at campuses that are not hosting Preview Days this fall.
