Reformed Theological Seminary is pleased to announce the appointment of William A. Ross as Assistant Professor of Old Testament at RTS Charlotte beginning January 1, 2019.
Ross earned a B.S. in International Business and Entrepreneurship from Grove City College as well as an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. There he also worked for several years as a teaching assistant to Dr. Gregory K. Beale. Ross is currently a Cambridge Trust Scholar and Ph.D. candidate in Old Testament at the University of Cambridge, where his work has focused on Septuagint lexicography under the leading scholar Dr. James K. Aitken.
He has been actively involved in scholarship during his doctoral work. He is finishing a three-year term as chair of the Septuagint Studies consultation at the annual meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society and is currently a member of the Edición y

Having already distinguished himself as an excellent OT scholar, Will also brings a deep commitment to Reformed theology and a love for the church that will be a great blessing to our students. He will not only teach our students to have ‘a mind for truth, and a heart for God,’ but he will also model it.”
Ross has been active in ministry and is pursuing ordination within the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). For several years he was responsible for the Young Adult Ministry and taught adult and children’s Sunday school at Cresheim Valley Church in Philadelphia, and has preached in the U.S. and United Kingdom. Ross also occasionally contributes articles to the Gospel Coalition blog. He is married to Kelli, who has a degree in biblical counseling. They have three boys named Amos, Lucas, and Samuel.
The RTS Charlotte campus has become a national and international training ground for pastors, missionaries, educators, and leaders in the church. It has a beautiful 17-acre campus, 11 resident faculty members, a library of 60,000 volumes, and hundreds of alumni serving Christ all over the globe.
