Just out of college, a mentor had given me J.I. Packer’s Knowing God. That book taught me enough Reformed theology to realize that I didn’t know enough. In order to be trained for a lifetime of ministry, I knew I needed preparation in a classically Reformed environment. I knew that RTs was the right place for me in my first semester. In Dr. Bob Cara’s “Creeds and Confessions” class, he gave us a clear, winsome, and entertaining overview of Reformed theology – the best summary I’ve seen to this day.
I use my seminary training in practical ministry every day – with my RUF students, my children, and friends who need ministry help. Before attending RTS Charlotte, I felt called to ministry and had few resources. RTS has given me a deeper and more comprehensive Reformed education.
