Biblical Exegesis | Counseling
Equipping future pastors with a deep understanding of Scripture, sound theology, and pastoral ministry skills.
The Master of Divinity is the gold standard in theological education for those called to pastoral ministry or academic preparation. Here's what makes the RTS MDiv stand out:
Rooted in the inerrant Word of God and the Reformed confessional tradition, RTS equips students to know, love, and apply the Scriptures in every area of life and ministry.
From biblical languages and exegesis to preaching, counseling, and pastoral care, this 106-credit program provides the most comprehensive training available for the pastorate.
Complete your MDiv on campus while taking a specific portion of courses through RTS Global or campus network intensives. You can also pursue the Hybrid MDiv option, all without compromising academic depth or confessional fidelity.
For those unable to relocate, the Hybrid Master of Divinity in Orlando and Flex-Residential MDiv courses in Washington D.C. provide a combination of residential, hybrid, flex-residential, intensive, and online courses, allowing students to complete the MDiv in the same amount of time as a residential student while maintaining their residence elsewhere. Students generally only need to travel to campus twice per year.

"I chose RTS for several reasons. First, the amazing faculty. I had read some of their books and loved the idea of receiving a robust biblical and theological education. Second, and most importantly, was the campus culture and the students I met. I knew that if I wanted to picture myself in four years, I would want to look like them."
"I chose the RTS Houston campus because it allows me to learn in person and engage with professors and fellow students in real time. Being on campus has given me the opportunity to build meaningful connections with both professors and peers."
“I started at RTS after auditing a class that inspired me to dig deeper into what I was learning. I wanted to teach women faithfully, and I saw seminary as an opportunity to grow in my understanding so I could better serve the women in my church.”
"At RTS, in the classrooms, they have painted on the walls 'A Mind for Truth and a Heart for God.' I loved that combination of the mind and the heart because you can have truth, but if you don't have love, it doesn't matter. And so at RTS I found this combination of both where because we love the Lord, we want to speak about him in a way that's true."
Master of Divinity students at RTS are taught by theologians and pastors who are deeply committed to the authority of Scripture and the health of the church. With decades of ministry experience and academic excellence, they guide students in faithfully proclaiming the gospel and shepherding God's people.

No prior knowledge is required. Biblical language instruction is included as part of the core curriculum, and professors guide students through learning Greek and Hebrew from the ground up.
