RTS New York City Community

Life and Ministry in the City

RTS New York City blends rigorous theological study with the vibrant, diverse culture of the city itself. Through worship, fellowship, and real-world ministry engagement, students experience a community deeply rooted in Christ and shaped by life in one of the world's greatest cities.

Heart
Gospel-Centered Community

RTS NYC was launched in partnership with Redeemer City to City and the late Dr. Timothy Keller, establishing a foundation of deep relationships and gospel-driven ministry across New York. Students build friendships and networks that extend into churches, ministries, and neighborhoods throughout the metro area.

Church
Faculty and Church Connections

Our seminary community is strengthened through mentorship and collaboration with local congregational leaders. Professors and pastors work closely with students, providing support, guidance, and encouragement both in and out of the classroom.

City
Preparing for Urban Ministry

Ministry training at RTS NYC is uniquely shaped by the complexities and opportunities of urban life. Students engage in biblical and theological reflection informed by their experiences in a multicultural, densely populated, and dynamic environment—preparing them for effective ministry in cities around the world.

Recipients are encouraged to continue with the Redeemer City Ministry Program following completion of the MABS degree. Admitted MABS students can apply through the RTS Financial Aid Application.

*City to City scholarship recipients are not eligible for other financial aid programs.

Resound Project

The Church needs to invest in the discipleship of emerging leaders in order to sustain a faithful encounter between the gospel and contemporary culture. To that end, Central Presbyterian Church seeks to function as a “teaching hospital” through Resound Project, creating a pipeline of future leaders to serve the Church in a variety of different contexts.

The Emerging Leaders Programs provide various points of entry for qualified candidates who exhibit a desire to learn from our particular philosophy of ministry. The programs are based on life stage, educational level, and vocational interest.

Resound interns are eligible for scholarships and serve on the staff of Central Presbyterian throughout their seminary experience. Internship applications open September 1st and are due May 1st.

*Resound scholarship recipients are not eligible for other financial aid programs.
