About Mrs. Polly Stone

Mrs. Stone began working at RTS in 1994. She was an integral part of the start-up of the  Charlotte campus performing multiple tasks, including book-store manager and registrar. Since 2006, she has been serving at the institutional-level of RTS; first as the Director of Institutional Assessment, and since 2016 as the Chief Officer of Institutional Assessment.

As Chief Institutional Assessment Officer and a member of the Provost’s Office, her expertise falls in the areas of academic administration, accreditation, and assessment. Mrs. Stone’s expertise is well known outside of RTS. She currently serves on the Board of Commissioners of the Commission on Accreditation of the Association of Theological Schools, has chaired numerous accreditation visits for both ATS and SACS, has been invited to write various articles, and has presented at various venues, including the Evangelical Seminary Deans’ Council. In addition, multiple graduate schools have used her as a consultant.

Mrs. Stone attended Mississippi State University. She was active in Reformed University Fellowship at MSU and earned a B.A. in English. Following graduation, she worked as an RUF Intern at Clemson University, where she met her husband. While living in Charlotte and working at RTS, Mrs. Stone earned an M.A. (Theological Studies) from RTS.

Polly and her husband, Bob, have two children, Amanda and Robert. They live in Charlotte, NC and are members of Ballantyne Presbyterian Church (ARP). In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on the her Mississippi State Bulldogs, her adopted Clemson Tigers, and all things college and high school football and baseball.
