Dr. Michael Allen, Academic Dean, is delighted to welcome you to the first installment of the Hughes Preaching Lecture Series at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. We intend this lecture series to serve as a focal point for conversation about how our current students, alumni, and others in our community can better understand and practice the ministry of the Word. The pulpit serves a crucial role in equipping the saints unto ministry and maturity (Eph. 4:11-12). Yet the church always struggles with temptations and challenges that might thwart our commitment to the faithful reading and preaching of God’s Word. We are delighted that the Rev. Kevin DeYoung will inaugurate this new lecture series with such a poignant topic. The lectures are free and open to the public. We invite you to gather with us for these lectures and to join in the campus-wide conversation we will have about how preaching the glories of God’s gospel ought never become boring.
