Key Responsibility Area #1 – Congregational Worship
Lead the congregation in worship with strong vocals and lead guitar (preferred). Engage the congregation by providing the necessary energy and presence to lead an assembled group of people. Influence and support the musical direction each week with regards to song selection and elements of liturgy and theology, in coordination with the Lead Pastor, and ensure it reflects the vision, values, and goals of the church as determined by the elders. Develop slides in Pro-Presenter with worship lyrics so the congregation can participate and follow along.
Key Responsibility Area #2 – Team Scheduling & Development
Recruit, develop and schedule a weekly team that makes the best use of CPWP’s musical talent. Use Planning Center and other digital tools to schedule and communicate with team members throughout the week. Recruit, audition, develop, support and encourage worship team members. Hold weekly practices and rehearsals so that team members are prepared and present with high quality on Sunday morning. Coordinate volunteer schedules for participation in weekly services and special services like Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Easter, Vision/Worship Nights, and other CPWP events (e.g., deacon syncs, etc.).
Key Responsibility Area #3 – Setup & Teardown
As we are a portable church, gathering at the Winter Park YMCA, assist OpsCrew team members with setup and teardown by arriving first on Sunday mornings to help with setup of all worship aspects taking place in, on, and around the stage area. Stay afterwards to help clear and disassemble the stage area and worship instruments and sound equipment. Register as an insured driver of the trailer and receive training so that in emergency situations you can serve as a driver.
Key Responsibility Area #4 – Optional
For an additional 5-7 hours per week, we are also in need of help in the following areas:
- Digital communications such as website updates, podcasting, graphics, social media, event promotions, etc.
- Operations Assistant
This is a deacon level position and all candidates must meet and maintain the qualifications of a deacon as defined by 1 Timothy 3:8-13. This position requires attendance of 45 Sundays per year. When missing a service accommodations should be made ahead of time to prepare for substitutes so as to not leave a worship void for a given gathering or event. This is a 12-15 hour per week position.
