Responsibilities
- Shape the Sunday worship service:
- Work with the lead pastor and worship team to plan liturgy in accordance with our mission
- Lead the congregation vocally and the worship team musically with a joyful, humble confidence that directs the church’s gaze toward God rather than yourself
- Develop a culture of worship that reflects the diversity of the church and local community
- Administration:
- Schedule members of the music team for all services and special events
- Hold weekly rehearsals with the team members who serve in the upcoming week
- Help set up and take down on Sundays
- Shepherding
- Be a leader of leaders by shaping your team not to be task-masters but individuals who treasure and follow Jesus in all areas and help others to do the same
- Build relationships with the team members and engage issues as necessary
- Regular presence in the life of the church and in your local community
- Operations, Creativity, and Outreach

- As a church plant, there is the need for staff to wear multiple hats. Therefore the worship director will assist with Doxology’s operational needs, creative and media development, and community outreach.

Reports to: Lead Pastor
Works with: Worship Team, Production Team, Lead Pastor
Position Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has a passion for both the creative and the detailed, can build cohesive teams, is musically gifted, and has a heart for the local church. The candidate must have experience in leading a congregation in worship and developing a team in diverse styles of music.

We’re looking for a worship leader who will help lead us into the next season of ministry: shaping Doxology’s rhythms and liturgy, leading the church in Gospel-centered worship, recruiting and developing volunteers, and assisting with the creative and operational life of the church.
