Description of Organization
This is our first attempt at providing an internship. We are a lively congregation of mainly Dutch-German extraction in conservative (Dutch Reformed) Sioux County, Iowa. Founded in 1877, until 2007 we were affiliated with the PCUSA. At that time we left that denomination and joined the PCA. The congregation is traditional, “ordinary means of grace,” with monthly celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
The congregation is 102 adult members and several children. We have an active educational program and small group ministry during the school year. During the summer we have a weekly Intergenerational Sunday School class at 10:50 a.m. Morning worship is at 9:30 a.m. and the Sunday evening Bible Hour (singing, sermon, and prayer) is at 6:00 p.m.
The pastor (solo) has been installed since 1986. He is a graduate of Wheaton College (1981), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M-Div 1986), and Covenant Theological Seminary (D-Min 2007).Apply Online Contact Via Email
