Job Description:

The State Director of Florida will be responsible for directing and evaluating a Christian program of child-placing which is child and family centered. The State Director will oversee a team of 4 (all remote) and work to develop and foster relationships with local families, churches, the State Board of Directors, and established partnerships in the area. This individual must develop a plan to achieve an annual fundraising goal in order to best support Lifeline’s ministry efforts in Florida. This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded, relational individual who will lead in growing and expanding Lifeline’s mission and goals across the state.

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate new partnerships with local churches, donors, and families to spread awareness, establish relationships, and enhance financial giving
  • Builds upon existing relationships while highlighting Lifeline Children’s Services in comparison to local attorneys and other adoption agencies
  • Pursue opportunities to speak in churches about the Biblical alternative of adoption and success of Lifeline
  • Develop a plan for public relations to promote Lifeline from both a development and awareness platform
  • Take initiative in recruiting efforts to partner with families who have a heart for the Gospel and vulnerable children across the world
  • Establish a fundraising plan and execute to hit annual budget goal
  • Responsible for assisting in the preparation of the annual state budget; controls expenditures according to budgetary allowances
  • Create regular reports to State Board of Directors and State Department of Human Resources on all aspects of the state programs and operations
  • Lead, develop, and create a unified team culture among 4 staff members

Position Qualifications:

  • Commitment to and passion for Lifeline’s mission; signs and upholds the Employee Statement of Faith
  • Experience in Non-Profit, Human Resources, Adoption, and/or Social Work is helpful but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Social Work (or similar field) is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of workplace experience
  • Ability to lead, inspire and develop staff
  • Strong business acumen with drive to achieve fundraising goals
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop partnerships with a broad audience in order to advance Lifeline ministry
  • Relational entrepreneur with high attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who can intentionally establish rapport with staff, Board of Directors, local churches, and donors across the state
  • Takes initiative and executes to meet tight deadlines while still maintaining a client focus and relational mindset
  • Strong fiscal management and empirical-based decision making skills

Competitive Compensation, Health Insurance, 401K, PTO, Disability/Life Insurance, Remote role but need to be located in Orlando, FL (or within driving distance).
