Position Summary
In a full-time capacity, this position will be working with geographically dispersed campuses reporting to the CFO. The Project and Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in the planning, initiating, and leading of assigned projects around key strategic initiatives for RTS. RTS is currently bringing together its accounts receivable/payable, budgeting, purchasing, and other financial processes into a single system designed to identify opportunities for growth while keeping an eye on the bottom line.
Essential Tasks
- Producing recurring reporting packages and analysis for communication of financial/operational results to senior management and prize operators
- Leads preparation and modifications to budgets and forecasts, analyze and explain budget/forecast vs. actual – collaborating with CFO.
- Develops financial models and analyses to support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and special projects.
- Assist in regular monthly and quarterly close processes to ensure accurate reporting of financials.
- Perform frequent ad-hoc analyses for senior management to assist in key decision making for the company.
- Synthesizing information from different sources and formats to generate reporting and analysis.
- Partnering with CFO and Director of Finance to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of financial reporting.
- Identifying and driving process improvements within finance as well as across the organization to enhance efficiency and financial control.
- Undertake other improvement initiatives, special assignments, and research projects.
Position Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- MBA preferred, not required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting office or equivalent consulting experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of finance and accounting standards, practices and reporting at an accredited institution of higher education preferred, not required.
- Jenzabar experience preferred, not required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational skills.
