New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian (Whitwell, TN) – Pastor

The Big Picture

New Hope Presbyterian Church (https://www.facebook.com/New-Hope-Cumberland-Presbyterian-Church-197670230281002/) is a faithful congregation seeking a full-time Pastor who will preach the Word of God, graciously shepherd the congregation, and provide godly leadership.

The Church

New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church is a “family” of believers located in the New Hope community of Sequatchie County, Tennessee.  The congregation is varied in age and interests.  The church building is a brick two-story structure containing the sanctuary, the fellowship hall, several classrooms, bathrooms, and a church office.  Next to the church is the manse, which is a brick house with bedrooms, bathrooms, living room/dining room, kitchen, utility room, and a two-car garage.  Currently we have two regular services. The Worship service is held each Sunday morning and the Wednesday night Prayer and Bible Study each Wednesday evening.

The Community

The New Hope community of Sequatchie County, Tennessee is a small farming community.  Although small family farms surround the church, most people in the community work at jobs in the local towns and Chattanooga, Tennessee.  It is approximately a one-hour drive to Chattanooga, which is the fourth largest city in Tennessee.  The community lies in a river valley with mountains on the east and west sides.
