Job Title:

Pastor

Job Description:

The Candidate

We very likely cannot afford to pay a full-time pastor yet, but we desperately desire to and are working toward that goal. We have 9 members right now. We have about 14 kids among us. We have been meeting since 8/2/2020 every Sunday. We want multiple elders, and we want to supply their needs and take away their secular worries so they can focus on shepherding the flock.

Position Qualifications:

 The Qualifications

A humble man who wants to be taught even as he is shepherding us will do just fine. Previous experience is not necessary, but we would want to consult the man’s current local church to confirm his character.  We fully subscribe to the 2LBC although we are sure there are people who don’t understand every detail or wouldn’t affirm every detail. Our desire is to be led by men who fully subscribe and/or have minor exceptions.

The Process

Please look over this job description and the church website. Along with your resume please answer these questions:

  • Why do you believe that you might be a good fit to be a Pastor/Elder at Covenant?
  • Describe your experiences in ministry and how you may be qualified to serve as the Pastor at Covenant?
  • In just a few sentences, please explain your doctrine and how that is in line with Covenant?
  • What is your bi-vocational plan?

Please send your resume and the answers to these questions to Jason@LancasterSearch.com

Covenant Bible Church (Columbus, Ohio) Pastor/Elder

The Big Picture

Covenant Bible Church (covenantbibleohio.com) is seeking a bi-vocational Pastor/Elder who will preach the Word, shepherd the Flock, reach the lost and agree with the 1689 and its distinctions.

The Church

We are a 1689 church and want to do things according to the Scripture and we believe the 1689 describes that. We planted the church in July 2020.  Since then, we have a man who is a gifted preacher among us who has acted as a "temporary pastor," but we are lacking the plurality of elders we desire. We are a small church, but we are in a big city and hope to reach that city with the gospel.
