We are looking for a pastor who is theologically conservative, with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a clear calling by God to pastoral ministry. He must believe in the infallible Word of God and that all Scripture is God-breathed. He must be in full agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. He must be a man of proven character and be a man of prayer and reliance on God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. While it is important to minister to all age groups of our congregation, we are especially looking for a pastor with a passion for inspiring our Youth and young families as well as challenging all of us to grow in Bible study and service to God and community.
We require a man that meets the qualifications in I Timothy and Titus. The preferred minimum education is a seminary and/or Bible college along with experience as a Senior Pastor.
Please look over this job description and the church website. Along with your resume please answer these questions:
- Why do you believe that you might be a good fit as the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church?
- Describe your experiences in ministry and how you may be qualified to serve as the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church.
- In just a few sentences please give a summary of your theology and how that is in line with the doctrine of First Baptist Church.
Please send your resume, the answers to these questions and a link to at least one online sermon to Jason@LancasterSearch.com
