Female Staff Position

Job Description:

The female staff works alongside, and assists, the CM in pursuit of the general RUF mission by
primarily focusing on female UNC students. While she will receive some guidance from the CM,
much of this role will be self-directed. In large part, she will help set the direction for the female
ministry within RUF at UNC.

Broadly competent in the following ministry functions
Relationally proficient: developing trusting relationships with older female students
Organizationally proficient: Ideation of new projects and administration/project management
Culturally proficient and able to understand and engage in the struggles of today’s college
students.
Theologically proficient: Application of scriptures in both one-one, small group, and retreat
settings
Able to minister to college women between the ages of 18-25, dealing with the intellectual,
relational, and emotional complexity that comes with that demographic.
Functioning as a member of a cohesive team, alongside of the campus minister and interns,
serving as a gracious and thoughtful role model to any female interns that are present at UNC.
Teaching at women’s retreats, some staff staff retreats, community groups, and other venues
outside of the weekly large group worship service.
Discipling upperclassmen female students
Building relationships with churches and other potential ministry partners in the area, region, and
country.
Fund-raising ministry budget of (80% outside of the Triangle Area)
Upon arrival able to become a member in good standing at a PCA church in either Durham or
Chapel Hill

Position Qualifications:

Accredited degree in theology or counseling or willingness to work toward such a degree while
on staff.
Minimum 3-5 years of ministry experience

Working Relationships
Staff position reports to National Staff and Campus Minister
UNC Interns, especially female intern, ministry volunteers reports to female staff.
