Job Description:

General Overview

This is a full-time position that reports to the campus Executive Director and works with department heads in decision making, initiating proper procedures, and communicating between institutional leadership and campus personnel. In addition to serving as the receptionist, this position oversees the general operation of the campus.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Works with Executive Director to maintain deadlines for Academic, Administrative, and Developmental purposes
  • Works with institutional Finance office to provide budget information to department heads
  • Oversees budget expenditures and processes to ensure the campus stays within the annual budget
  • Oversees Audit preparation
  • Provides work replacement for vacancies- temporary or permanent; includes scheduling. Coordinates hiring process for campus staff positions
  • Manages new hire paperwork, e-verification, and exit paperwork procedures for new hires and terminations
  • Maintains records on employee vacation, sick, and personal leave, as well as holiday pay (providing this information to the employee and reporting at the end of the year to Human Resources)
  • Serves as campus coordinator for payroll issues/approvals regarding Paycom system
  • Coordinates annual campus staff evaluations
  • Assists students and department heads with job placement for on-campus student workers
  • Ensures that student workers work within the allowance of hours awarded
  • Tracks budget money allocated for student worker scholarships
  • Oversees campus communication and announcements to students, faculty, and staff with the assistance of the Admissions Director regarding upcoming events, weekly reminders, notices, etc.
  • Manages campus RAVE emergency alert system
  • Monitors student debts to keep bad debts at a minimum and work to collect past due debts
  • Works with students to ensure that their student accounts are kept current; works with students who need assistance in payment plans for tuition
  • Approves all expense reimbursement requests to ensure they have proper documentation, signatures, and account coding
  • Approves weekly invoices as presented by department heads and creates spreadsheet tracking the invoices presented
  • Approves all honoraria for regular faculty, guest faculty, and guest speakers
  • Works with campus Executive Director on special projects and decision-making regarding facilities
  • Assists Executive Director with campus decision-making
  • Assists Executive Director in planning for reports to be given for Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees
  • Works with campus Executive Director to establish campus goals and provide documentation for reporting
  • Serves as Dallas Campus Website Edits Coordinator
  • Works with vendors to screen/ choose the best value for copiers/phone systems/supplies, etc. for the campus
  • Maintains and implements employee recognition, service awards, Christmas Party, other campus-wide events
  • Manages campus Amazon account and ensures all orders are approved by campus Executive Director

Hours and Benefits

This position is a full-time position. All full-time employees are offered health insurance (if needed) and a retirement plan. Details of all benefits, work hours, holidays, etc., are available in the RTS Operating manual or by contacting our Payroll and Benefits Administrator.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field from a regionally accredited university
  • 3-5 Years in a management position in a business office or higher education

Originally started in Jackson, Mississippi, RTS now operates programs on 7 campuses in addition to a robust global, online system. RTS Dallas (est. 2017) represents the seminary’s newest endeavor, combining the resources of its Houston campus to serve the growing church in Texas and beyond.
