Description of Organization

Crossway Baptist Church (Bakersfield, CA) – Discipleship and Counseling Pastor

The Big Picture

Crossway Baptist Church (crosswaybaptist.org) is seeking a full-time Discipleshp and Counseling Pastor.

The Overview

One of our current Pastoral needs is the training, equipping, and encouragement of our lay-leaders who manage and oversee administrative needs and our children’s and teen ministries. The ideal Pastoral candidate would have a burden for training, loving, and shepherding the flock of God and doing life-on-life ministry with the sheep.

The ideal candidate would be organized, good with people, and skilled in the use of God’s Word in the areas of discipleship and counseling (ACBC or similar). This will be a shepherding, encouraging, and people focused role for a pastor. We would prefer to see someone with several years of experience who has a heart to equip the body to do the work of ministry.

The Pastoral candidate needs to be in complete agreement and support of the Church’s Statement of Faith and Theological Distinctives.
