Director of Student Ministries
Mission: CCC exists to Exalt God’s Glory, Equip God’s People and Extend God’s Kingdom.
The aim of the CCC student ministry is to engage middle and high school students with the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to disciple believing students and evangelize non-believing students to walk in intimacy with Christ and connect with the students of the culture around them. The primary target of student ministry, therefore, is the hearts of the next generation, seeking to ignite and fan into flame students’ love for Christ, His Word, the Church and the people around them in the context of a gospel-rich community.
Exalt God’s Glory
The director of student ministry will model being engaged in worship and call the students to follow him in the passionate pursuit of God and His character. Growing in love for Jesus through corporate and personal worship is essential to the life of a leader. Participation in both regular weekly services and
special services is expected of one holding this position.
Equip God’s People
Although the parents are called by God to be the primary equipper of their children, the director of student ministry and the volunteer team play a critical and complimentary role in the lives of the middle and high school students. The student director will intentionally engage students through both formal
teaching times as well as informal times of doing life with them as strategic means of communicating vital biblical truth and life principles, trusting God to work through these channels to make multiplying disciples. The director of student ministries will also seek to integrate, disciple, and shepherd not only
those who attend the youth events, but all of the CCC youth.
Extend God’s Kingdom
The student director will be the lead evangelist of student ministry. Whether through planned outreach, way of life opportunities, or short-term mission trips, the director will model and pursue evangelism, creating an environment that normalizes initiating spiritual conversations. This will also entail training students to do likewise. The local middle and high school campuses will be as integral to student ministry as the youth room.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent ministry experience
- Experience: 2+ years previous youth experience preferred
- Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience
