Children’s Ministry Leader
Job Description:
This position is responsible for the overall conduct of the children’s ministry at Covenant Church. Collaborates with parents, volunteers, church leaders, and the Congregation. Includes providing a Christ-centered, safe, secure, and fun environment for children from infancy through grade five.
Responsibilities include oversight of Children’s Ministry Programming and nursery. Recruits and builds teams of volunteers to execute programs designed to provide spiritual instruction and training of children so they grow in faith in Jesus Christ. Reports to the Senior Pastor.
This is a part time position (20 hours a week). Candidate must be a strong Christian and committed to the governing documents of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (www.epc.org).
Position Qualifications:
Candidate must have proven experience as a team builder with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects, set goals, meet deadlines, identify problems, and bring forth solutions.
This position works every Sunday morning, Wednesday evenings, and during special events. Other hours are flexible.
Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education or Early Childhood education preferred. Equivalent work experience considered. CPR certification and first aid certification required.

Covenant Church is a vibrant congregation, passionate in its pursuit of God-exalting worship, Christ-centered preaching and teaching, deep gospel-driven discipleship, and wholistic mission.
Covenant was founded in 1893 and today is a congregation with about 250 in regular attendance. The church meets at two different times Sunday morning, for a Contemporary service (9am) and Blended-Traditional service (11am). We have an array of Sunday and mid-week children's ministries as well as special events throughout the year.
