Children’s Ministry Director
Position Summary
The Children’s Ministry Director provides leadership and oversight for children’s ministry (birth–5th grade), partnering with parents and volunteers to help children grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee weekly children’s programs and special events.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers and teachers
- Select and implement biblically sound, age-appropriate curriculum
- Partner and communicate regularly with parents
- Ensure child safety policies and procedures are followed
- Manage ministry planning, scheduling, the children’s ministry budget, and basic administration
- Supervise part-time staff and nursery workers
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in children’s ministries
- The candidate must agree and support LGCC’s statement of faith
- Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skill
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred
Schedule
- In addition to Sunday children’s programs, provide children’s ministry support for Friday evening and Saturday afternoon small groups
- Plan and oversee children’s programs for VBS and church retreat
- Coordinate children’s participation in special holiday presentations (e.g., Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas)
- Support and help develop children’s programs for the new church plant (Millbrae)

- 60-80K
