Description of Organization

Greyfriars Classical Academy (GCA), located in Matthews, NC, is a classical, Christian high school (grades 9-12) that opened in the fall of 2009.  We offer both full-time and part-time enrollment (for homeschoolers) and currently have roughly 55 students. GCA is a day school, but our class structure resembles that of a university, meeting together  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Our curriculum integrates theology, history, literature, mathematics, science, aesthetics, logic, rhetoric, and language (Greek and Spanish). Each subject is taught from a decidedly biblical worldview.  We are especially interested in giving Christian families an affordable option by which their children can continue to receive an exceptional, Christian education through the challenging high school years.
