Beginning in fall 2021, Dr. G.K. Beale will begin teaching courses on the New Testament at RTS Dallas. Within the Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts (Theological Studies) programs, Dr. Beale will teach courses on the New Testament, biblical languages and exegesis, and biblical theology, all of which are vital to pastoral ministry.
Dr. Mark McDowell, Executive Director of RTS Dallas, shared, “The presence of Dr. G. K. Beale here at RTS Dallas presents students with an incredible opportunity for intense engagement of biblical languages and biblical theology under the guidance of one of the foremost Reformed scholars.”
RTS Dallas is known for its intimate classes which help to cultivate personal discipleship in relationships among peers and with faculty. By studying in small, committed groups under the guidance of Dr. Beale, students will develop habits that include reading Scripture in its original language.
Studying biblical languages is an integral part of the curriculum for the MDiv program at RTS. Students will be equipped with an interpretive approach that enables them to find the main point and follow the flow of thought in a paragraph or chapter of Scripture. This will enable preachers to focus on the main point of a passage and craft a sermon around that point.
