This course lays the groundwork for understanding people and the implications of human suffering and struggle. Caring for God’s people is not reserved solely for official ministry roles but is for every member of the body of Christ. Through the lens of the sufficient Word of God and the centrality of the ministry of the Holy Spirit, students will learn how biblical counseling flows out of personal sanctification and discipleship. This course is designed to help students gain a foundational understanding of how change takes place through the power of the gospel and the four aspects of a personal ministry relationship. The principles learned will have deeply personal application and will equip students for the work of ministry.
