RTS campus libraries subscribe to several hundred current periodicals and also have sizable collections of back issues of periodicals for research. The ATLA Religion Index and other indexes offer tools for finding pertinent articles for study. Some journals are also offered full-text on CD-ROM or through online databases.
Each campus library also has various resources on microfiche and microfilm available. Many of these resources are books or other resources that are unavailable any other way. Microform reader-printers allow students to read these materials and print out copies as needed.
The RTS Libraries regularly loan materials between campuses, so that each student has easy access to the entire resources of the combined collections.
Computers are available for research and study within each library, with Internet access, word processing, and other resource programs. Stations for laptop computers are also available.
Study areas are available for groups of students. Private study carrels also offer a refuge for quiet research, some of which are wheelchair accessible. The central location of the Libraries on each campus makes them a focal point of student life at RTS.
The Library at RTS Jackson is located in a very large facility with a collection of over 200,000 volumes. The rare book collection is housed in a beautiful facility that allows faculty, staff, and students to study rare works from the Reformed tradition.
The Library at RTS Orlando is housed in a facility that allows for easy access to the over 75,000 volumes available there with room to grow.
The Library at RTS Charlotte has grown rapidly along with the campus to provide an excellent facility and a broad collection of materials. The library fills a former sanctuary of approximately 6400 square feet, and houses over 42,000 volumes.
