Reformed Theological Seminary - hermeneutics
Biblical Hermeneutics at RTS Virtual Campus is loosely defined as the ability or principles behind interpretation of the scriptures. There are many ways to choose interpretation styles for Biblical purposes, but our job is to give you the proper tools to guide you while listening for God’s voice. Christian Biblical hermeneutics are studied in terms of both the theological and literary principles. Some techniques for hermeneutics include the use of language and diction in the scriptures, historical and cultural references surrounding the authors, the context of the words and verses, theology basis, and special literary methods for genre of writing. The tools needed for interpretation can be found in Biblical hermeneutics.
