Miles Van Pelt is the Alan Belcher Professor of Old Testament and Biblical Languages and Academic Dean for the Jackson campus. He has a deep commitment to and passion for teaching students the Bible in its original languages. He is the co-author of Basics of Biblical Hebrew: Grammar (Zondervan, 2001), and has published extensively in the area of Hebrew and Aramaic language instruction. At the RTS campus in Jackson, Miles teaches Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, Hebrew Exegesis, Genesis to Deuteronomy, Introduction to Biblical Theology, and courses in the books of Judges and The Song of Songs. Miles is also on the pastoral staff of Grace Reformed Church in Madison, Mississippi. He and his wife Laurie have been married for over 20 years and they have four children at home.
